Design the Future Lecture Series. Marketing micro-site to showcase speakers and their talks.
Challenge
The School of Design Lecture Series showcases invited speakers who are working on complex social and environmental problems. Now in it’s third season, it is a well attended success, whether in the lecture hall or attended online for the live webcast.
Solution
The School of Design speakers series has a long history. However infomation was not easily accessible after the speaker left, and the lectures not always well attended. None of the current social media was being used to promote the past series.
With the development of the WordPress microsite, a Twitter hashtag and a schedule for social media, the Lecture Series continues to evolve. Initially, word clouds were transcribed from the speakers to show common threads of thinking. In tandem with this, I created the Lecture Series Vimeo channel where all webcasts are archived, tagged and available anytime.
